Q What are some of the differences/similarities comparing the Ancient Olympic games to the Modern Olympic games? In your opinion, which one do you prefer and why?
Both had events that took place in a town or city. Except when there was a conflict, the contemporary Olympics and the Ancient Olympics were held every four years. They also had competitors who competed against each other. Only free men who spoke Greek were allowed to compete in the Ancient Olympics. There were four running races, horse racing, wrestling, boxing, pancratium, pentathlon, and chariot races in the ancient games.
